Welcoming Ibrahim Hassan as RCE’s New Data Manager

We are delighted to welcome Ibrahim Hassan as our new Data Manager to the team at River Cycleway Europe.

Ibrahim brings a rare interdisciplinary profile spanning civil engineering, smart cities, energy engineering, sustainable infrastructure, and floating urbanism. He holds a First-Class degree in Civil Engineering and will be awarded three Erasmus Mundus master’s degrees this September across Smart Cities, Energy Engineering, and Smart Energy.

His journey has taken him across five European countries, where he has lived, studied, and conducted research at the intersection of climate resilience, renewable energy, urban mobility, and water-based innovation. His experience includes structural engineering, floating infrastructure, and applied projects on renewable energy communities, smart mobility, and climate-adaptive settlements.

At RCE, Ibrahim’s technical depth, international perspective, and purpose-driven approach strongly align with our mission to reimagine urban waterways as platforms for sustainable mobility, clean energy, resilience, and inclusive city-making.
